Price depends on the number and size of rooms, how much wall prep and patching they need, whether ceilings and trim are in the scope, and the paint tier you choose. A single accent wall and a whole-house repaint are very different jobs, so ranges vary widely.

Square footage of paintable surface, plus modifiers for prep difficulty, paint quality, number of coats, and access (e.g. two-story exteriors). For some items (cabinets, doors, garage doors) we price per piece because square footage doesn't capture the work involved.

For most residential jobs, we collect 25 to 50% upfront to cover materials, with the balance due on completion. Larger jobs (full repaints, exteriors) sometimes split into thirds. We'll spell it out clearly in the written estimate before any money changes hands.

Yes. A lot of East Valley homes sit in an HOA, and we work within those rules every week. Here's the usual flow: your HOA keeps an approved color palette, you as the homeowner submit the color you want, and once it's approved we match it exactly and paint.

We can't submit or approve for you, that request has to come from the homeowner, but we'll talk through color options and make sure what we spray matches what your HOA signed off on. If you're mid-approval, we can schedule around the timeline. Bring it up on your free walk-through.

For interior work, we move furniture into the center of the room and cover it with drop cloths. If you have heavy or fragile pieces (pianos, antiques, etc.), we may ask you to handle those, or we can coordinate with a moving service. Talk to us beforehand about anything you don't want us touching.

Standard prep includes patching nail holes and small dings, light sanding, taping off trim, and covering floors and furniture. For more involved repairs (drywall holes, water damage, large patches) we add an "extensive prep" line to the quote. Big drywall replacement is outside our scope; we'll refer you to a drywaller if needed.

Rough rules of thumb: a single room is 1 day, a full interior repaint is 3 to 5 days, an exterior is 3 to 7 days, a kitchen cabinet refinish is 4 to 7 days, a garage epoxy is 1 to 2 days. We give you a real timeline in the written estimate based on your specific project.

Sherwin-Williams is our standard. We can also use Benjamin Moore, Dunn-Edwards, or PPG on request. For exteriors in the Arizona sun we use products specifically rated for UV and heat, typically Sherwin-Williams Emerald or SuperPaint exterior lines.

You can, but we'd prefer to source it. We get contractor pricing and we know which products perform well in this climate. If you've got a specific brand or color you want, just tell us. We'll match it.

We can offer suggestions based on what we've seen work well in similar homes, but we're not interior designers. For big color decisions, we recommend buying a few sample pints, painting 2x2-foot squares on a few walls, and living with them for a day or two before committing. We're happy to apply the samples for you.

Not the whole time, but we like to walk through with you on day one to confirm details, and again at the end to do the final walk-through. In between, you can be home or not; we work either way. If you need to leave a key or arrange access for an empty house, just coordinate with us beforehand.

We work safely around both, but for everyone's sake we ask that pets be secured (in another room, the yard, or with a sitter) during the workday. The smell from low-VOC paint isn't strong, but kids and pets shouldn't be in freshly-painted rooms until the surface is dry to the touch.

Modern paints are mostly low-VOC, so the smell is mild and fades within a day or two. Oil-based products (sometimes used on doors, trim, or cabinets) have a stronger odor that lingers longer. We can talk through paint choices if anyone in the home is sensitive.

We back our work with a 3-year warranty on base paint and a 5-year warranty on premium paint. It covers peeling, blistering, or chipping that's our fault, the kind that comes from bad prep or application. It doesn't cover damage from impacts, water leaks, or normal wear, since those aren't paint failures.

If something needs touch-up shortly after the job (within the first month), we'll come back at no charge. We always leave you with a labeled touch-up paint can so small dings can be handled easily later. If you want us to come do a touch-up visit a year or two out, we'll quote it as a small job.
